06 Feb 2019 at 15:23hrs | Views
President Emmerson Mnangagwa is meeting some of the political parties and presidential candidates that took part in the July 2018 elections at State House at 4PM today.
The MDC has dismissed the "dialogue" as a rally, and says it will not enter into talks when the party's leaders and supporters are under military siege.
The National Patriotic Front said Mnangagwa could not convene a dialogue when he is the commander of the military which is accused of killings and rapes.
Both the MDC and NPF say talks should be convened with an internationally respected mediator, not with Mnangagwa as chair.
