MDC Leader Advocate Nelson Chamisa told the National Leaders Dialogue Breakfast meeting on Wednesday that politicians are guilty for the mess that Zimbabwe is facing today.
The meeting was organized by the Zimbabwe Council of Churches.
"We politicians are the source of agonies in our country. I am ready right now to meet President Emmerson Mnangagwa so that we can dialogue and solve the crisis this country is facing." Chamisa said.
Chamisa said the problems in the country cannot be solved without repentance.
"We need to repent from our wicked ways as a country. But there can be no repentance without confession, no confession without revelation and there is no revelation without humility.
"As a people we have not reached the stage of humility. It should not be difficult for me to see Mnangagwa and we dialogue. But as long as the issue of legitimacy is not resolved there is no moving forward. Any minute that we waste not dialoguing is a life wasted."
Chamisa further emphasized that as MDC they are ready to dialogue with Mnangagwa under a credible convener.
"There can be no dialogue without Mnangagwa and myself. We are ready anytime to dialogue but under a credible, independent and genuine convener.
"I inherited peace from the icon of peace Morgan Richard Tsvangirai and Mnnagagwa inherited from his own icon. We are new kids on the bloc. We need new politics.
"As I come to you I am a leader to MPs who cannot sleep in their houses because of persecutions, I am a leader of people assaulted because of their freedom of conscience."
Chamisa thanked and urged the church to continue with the work of leading in the national dialogue which they started on Thursday.
