Chief Maduna fears for his life

Outspoken chiefs in Matabeleland, who have spoken out against the government's delay in addressing the Gukurahundi atrocities of the early 1980's, now say there is a plot to silence them involving the country's dreaded State Intelligence operatives.

This comes as two of the most forthright traditional leaders in the region- chiefs Vezi Mduna and Ntabazinduna Nhlanhlamangwe Ndiweni- are said to be facing the boot over their strong stance on Gukurahundi.
