Beer prices go up with immediate effect

Delta Corporation has announced that effective 14 February 2019 beer price will be sold in United States Dollars.
375ml of Brown bottles will be going for USD$1.50 while 340ml of Green bottles will be going for USD$2.00.
In January Delta Corporation has reversed a decision to sell its products in foreign currency after the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe (RBZ) assured the beverage manufacturer it would provide the forex required to fund its import requirements.
Minister of Finance Mthuli Ncube is on record appealing for private firms to be patient while Government worked on fiscal consolidation.
"We are saying the private sector should wait for us to give policy. They should be patient and see how our fiscal policy is making progress. We are making good progress in fiscal consolidation and once we are ready, we will institute the requisite monetary reforms," Ncube was quoted saying by state media last month.
