The Minister of Youth, Sport, Arts and Recreation Kirsty Coventry has announced that she is organizing youth gathering in March dubbed the national Youth Indaba.
Minister Coventry said the National Youth Indaba."Will be an important platform for us Youth to work together in taking Zimbabwe forward. Youth are our future leaders so this annual event will be created in collaboration with our youth for youth."
The Minister further revealed that it will be a platform for youth to dialogue and to communicate. "You can only do a bit alone. You cannot go so far alone.
"It will be a platform where youth groups from across the country will come together and make their input on how the youth can build the future of Zimbabwe together. The youth will guide the Minister, and it's about how we do this together."
However, the Youth Advocacy for Reform and Democracy (YARD) led by Norton Member of parliament Temba Mliswa lashed out at Coventry for failing to attend a Youth Indaba that was organized by YARD which featured Kenya's, Professor Lumumba.
"YARD has had the Indaba and we called you out for non-attendance. You have our email and contacts, we hope you will do the honorable thing and invite us. We will do the honorable thing and attend." YARD said in a statement.
