#ThisFlag Founder Pastor Evan Mawarire opposed former President Robert Mugabe after being asked by the Zimbabwe National Army, National Patriotic Front Spokesperson Jealousy Mawarire has alleged.
The Mawarire's clashed on Twitter after Evan posted a birthday message congratulating Mugabe on his 95th Birthday.
"Robert Mugabe you turn 95 today. It's hard to say happy birthday because millions had unhappy birthdays or fewer ones, they died due to your brutality." Evan said. "I suffered at your direct instruction but I'm strong enough to say I forgive you. I hope you live long enough to ask those you destroyed for forgiveness."
Jealousy sprang to Mugabe's defense and exposed Evan as being a pawn of the army who is still working with them up to date.
Said Jealousy, "The other side you don't tell people is that you opposed him at the behest of the army, they gave you protection which was never given to those vawakaitisa, they bought you and your family air tickets, hapana chatisingazivi vakuru. Enjoy working with the army, your work isn't finished."
When Twitter users put Evan to task to answer to the allegations, he was conspicuous with his quietness.
Evan Mawarire rose to fame in 2016 after leading a major protest dubbed #ShutdownZimbabwe which literally caused the whole country to shut down.
He was arrested for treason and upon getting bail he fled to the United States of America and later went to South Africa.
Mawarire is facing another charge of plotting to overthrow a constitutional government after the January 14 protests.
He faces up to 20 years in prison without the option of a fine.
