Callistus Ndlovu's body arrives in Harare

The body of the late former cabinet minister Professor Callistus Ndlovu has arrived in Harare where a programme for its burial at the National Heroes Acre was unveiled.
Some of the senior government officials in attendance at the 1 Commando Chapel included Minister of Defence, Security and War Veterans Oppah Muchinguri-Kashiri, Minister of Home Affairs and Cultural Heritage Cain Mathema, Minister of State Security Owen Ncube, and some senior government and Zanu-PF officials.
Earlier on, a memorial service for the late national hero was held at Bulawayo City Hall.
Professor Ndlovu died last week in South Africa where he was receiving treatment.
Meanwhile, all logistics are now in place for the burial of Professor Ndlovu.
In a media briefing held in the capital this Friday (today), Harare Metropolitan Province Acting Administrator Mrs Zivanai Chisango said they have availed 20 buses for Harare, 10 for Bulawayo and one for each province which shall ferry people to and from the National Shrine.
"We have organised 20 buses in Harare, 10 in Bulawayo while other provinces will have one each," said Mrs Chisango.
Professor Ndlovu was the Zanu-PF provincial chairman for Bulawayo province.
