ZIMRA to close Victoria Falls Border post on Tuesday

The Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (ZIMRA) has announced that the Victoria Falls Border Post will be temporary closed on Tuesday to facilitate the signing of the United Nations World Trade Organisation (UNWTO) Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
The revenue collector said "Please note that the Victoria Falls Border Post will be closed on the 29th of May 2012 from 0600hours to 1500hours.
"To compensate for lost time it will be open from 0600hours for 24 hours on Monday 28th of May 2012 and will run from Tuesday 1500hours to 1800hours Wednesday 30th May 2012.The border post will thereafter revert to its normal operating hours," it said in a brief statement.
The MOU would be signed by leaders of Zimbabwe and Zambia, Robert Mugabe and Micheal Sata respectively.
Both countries won exclusive right to host the tourism event that has vast potential to transform the tourism sectors of both countries.
The two countries are in frantic efforts to build convention centres for the events.
For Zimbabwe, China has pledged to fund the construction of a convention centre and other critical infrastructure worth $300 million.
The convention centre is designed to accommodate between 3 000 and 5 000 people, have a shopping mall and a three-star and five-star hotel.
