178 Zanu PF Women's league members nabbed for smuggling

One hundred and seventy eight Zanu-PF Woman league members from Bulawayo and Harare attempted to smuggle countless bales of second hand clothes from Mozambique but refused to pay duty when caught.
The incident happened last Wednesday at Forbes Border Post in Mutare.
The second hand clothes are valued at $63 746.
"On 21 May 178 women from Harare and Bulawayo province women's league (sic) went to Mozambique and processed to Chimoi Shrines with two Pioneer buses and one Zupco bus.
"Upon return (the following day) they bought several items including second hand bales of clothes. They broke them and replaced them into 50 kg sacks and loaded them onto buses covered with tap line tents," read a police internal memo.
However realizing that they have been caught, the group leader known as Last Mbivo a Zanu-PF Harare province secretary for education told his comrades to protest against Zimra officials.
They then drove off without paying duty but police caught them.
Several Zanu-PF groups have been frequently traveling to Mozambique purporting to be visiting Chimoi Shrines.
