Harare City Council to sell 106 vehicles
30 May 2012 at 13:42hrs | Views
The Harare City Council has resolved to sell 106 non running vehicles next month through public auction.
According to the latest council reports, the vehicles have been gathering dust at the city workshops amid allegations that they were cannibalised with the majority remaining as shells.
A meeting of Harare council met on Monday approved the auction of the vehicles.
Previous such sales have attracted massive responses with lucky buyers only investing a few hundred dollars to get the vehicles back on the road.
"Authority is granted to dispose by public auction 106 redundant council motor vehicles," read part of the minutes.
The auction will be held before June 30.
