Police woman duped of US$500 by boyfriend

The statement "unlucky in love" rang true for a Harare-based female police officer after she was allegedly duped of US$500 by her boyfriend of four days.
Constable Eugienia Marufu (25) of Borrowdale Police Station caused the arrest of her boyfriend, Shaun Mwayenga (27), after he allegedly failed to supply a laptop he had sold to her.
It is understood that on January 27 this year, Mwayenga sold the laptop to the officer.
She gave him US$500, but he failed to deliver despite having promised to do so later that day.
He was subsequently arrested and is expected to appear in court this Friday.
