Zimbabwe resumes issuing passports

Following a technical glitch that had caused the Zimbabwean registrar's office to stop issuing passports, the Permanent Secretary in the ministry of Finance and Economic Development, George Guvamatanga has announced the solving of the technical problem and the immediate resumption of passport issuance.
Guvamatanga said on Twitter that reports linking the stoppage in the issuance of passports to an increase in passport prices were false. He also said that it is false that passport prices had been increased.

There was a technical issue which has been resolved and passports are being issued.

There are no changes in the passport fees.

That report is incorrect,passport fees have not been changed.Government focus at the moment is on clearing the current backlog.
