Woman eaten by dogs alive leaves for India on 10 May

Cherish Muchegwa the woman who was mauled by dogs in Bulawayo South is leaving for surgery in India on 10 May.
The Bulawayo Soutrh Member of Parliament Raj Modi said Muchegwa will be accompanied by her husband Joseph Masaiti and a nurse.
"This trip was made possible by your prayers and donations. Let's keep donating because the money for the operation is not yet enough." Modi said.
Meanwhile a report from the Ministry of Lands, Agriculture and Rural Settlement in the department of veterinary services at the central veterinary laboratory states that two of the dogs that attacked Muchegwa had rabies.
The Vet Department urged all people who were bitten by the dogs or had a history of contact to go for rabies vaccination.
"The dogs tested positive for rabies. All personnel who were in contact with the dogs should be vaccinated immediately against rabies. The rest of the animals at risk (that interacted with the rabid dogs) should be vaccinated against rabies," read the report.
