ANC takes early lead

The African National Congress is currently leading with 55% of the 27% votes counted. The ruling party is being followed by the Democratic Alliance which has 25.97%.
The third opposition party Economic Freedom Fighters has polled 8.28% so far.
It is highly expected that ANC will post just above 50% and EFF will get about 12%.
Opposition leader Nelson Chamisa has commended South Africa's Independent Electoral Commission for conducting a transparent election.
