Girlfriend strikes ex-wife with an axe

A jealous Mutoko woman appeared before a Mutoko magistrate yesterday for assaulting another woman with an axe after she was busted bedding her ex-husband in the early morning.
Sekai Dhani (25) of Tambara village under Chief Mutoko in Mutoko was slapped with $50 fine by magistrate Batanai Madzingira for striking Constance Chikazi (25) with an axe, failure to pay would earn her 30 days imprisonment.
Public prosecutor Nathan Majuru told the court that on 4 April at around 0400 Chikazi proceeded to her ex-husband Tatenda Manjoro's homestead at Tambara village, Mutoko to collect her identity card.
Upon arrival, she entered the ex-husband's bedroom without knocking and busted Manjoro and Dhani being intimate.
In a fit of rage, Dhani bolted out of the bedroom undressed and picked an axe and struck Chikazi once on head, she was refrained from further assaulting the complainant by Lovemore Manjoro.
The complainant rushed to Mutoko police station and filed a report before being referred to the hospital where she was medically examined,she sustained laceration on the scalp.
