Fresh divisions have resurfaced in ZANU PF Youth League with some members accusing the National Deputy Secretary for Youth Affairs Lewis Matutu as being a demigod.

A Provincial member of the Midlands ZANU PF Youth League Province narrated to us the goings on in the ruling Party.

"The comrades in the structures are not happy I won't lie to you," The source said. "Mkoma Matutu is now a law unto himself and is treating himself like a demigod. Remember last time we passed a Vote of No Confidence on him but vakuru they overturned it and instructed us to handle everything within the confines of electoral processes of the party. So I am telling that Matutu is going."

He further alleged that Matutu was now moving around with bodyguards wherever he is visiting the provinces and he no longer cares about the concerns of the Youth.

The ZANU PF Youth Congress is expected to be held between June and August.

Asked on who is tipped to take over from Matutu, the source gave us four names that are said to be emanating from the provinces.

"You have runner Godfrey Gomwe who hails from Harare but appeals to the broader national structures of the league. Then there is the name of John Muchenje who is strong in Matabeleland and Midlands. He is very loyal to party and is a successful cadre in business. The third name that is emanating from the structures in Mashonaland East and tMasvingo is that of Deputy Minister Mutodi. He is a PhD candidate and is a consistent and loyal to the Party and President and resonates well with the concerns of the youth. The last name is that of Deputy Minister Yeukai Simbanegavi. She has  anational youth appeal also and has the ability to become the first female Deputy Secretary for Youth Affairs."
