Dumbutshena & Company Attorneys placed under curatorship

Dumbutshena and Company Attorneys a boutique law firm based in Zimbabwe specializing in corporate and commercial transactions has been placed under curatorship.
In March 2019, Inviolata Dumbutshena, a granddaughter to the former Chief Justice the late Enoch Dumutshena, died in tragic circumstances when her car rammed into a haulage truck near Chatsworth. Inviolata was the founding Partner of Dumbutshena & Co Attorneys.
In a notice in today's newspapers, all clients, client's representatives or relatives or all persons whose files were previously held under Dumbutshena & Co. Attorneys were advised that Mrs. S. Evans of Mabuye Zvarevashe-Evans is the appointed curator bonis of the said firm.
"You are thus accordingly invited to contact her immediately with regards to your files," said the notice.
Inviolata's grandfather, Enoch Dumbutshena, was a distinguished Zimbabwean judge known for defending the independence of that country's judicial branch.
He became Zimbabwe's first black judge in 1980 and served as Chief Justice of Zimbabwe from 1984 to 1990. He then died in 2000.
