COPAC has announced that it will today hand over the completed review first draft constitution to the management committee refuting reports that the constitution making process has stalled.
In a statement signed by the three chairpersons, Edward Mkhosi, Douglas Mwonzora and Paul Mangwana said they would "official hand over the draft and the issues requiring further deliberations to the Management Committee."
"The select committee also takes this opportunity to correct reports in some sections of the media that the process has stalled because of bickering amongst the political parties.
To the contrary, we would like to inform the nation that drafting is almost complete and the committee is now seized with preparations for the next stage of the process which is the convening of the Second All Stakeholders Conference," reads the statement.
Copac said it was "working diligently to ensure the success of the constitution making process".
