Residents of Lobengula West are up in arms against ZESA for plunging them in darkness in the past two months.
A resident who spoke to this publication said in Lobengula West, corner Luveve road and Intemba Road, about 30 houses have no electricity for the past two months.
"ZESA employees came and took a transformer saying its faulty. It has never been returned. Numerous meeting were held with ZESA personnel but were fruitless." The resident said.
The fuming resident questioned whether that is how ZESA as an institution operates.
"Is this how Zesa treats its rates and taxpaying citizens? Is this because of lack of foreign currency to buy new transformers or corruption at its best? Children, the sick and the elderly shiver the cold nights with empty stomachs because of lack of electricity for two months.
"Some even skip meals and school because of lack money to buy charcoal and wood."
ZESA has been mum of the matter.
