Welshman Ncube's brother appointed Supreme Court judge

President' Emmerson Mnangagwa on Wednesday appointed Justices Nicholas Mathonsi and Charles Hungwe as judges of the Supreme Court the public newspaper The Herald has reported
Justice Mathonsi who is Professor Welshman Ncube's brother is one of the exceptional judges in the country who joined High Court in 2010.
Mathonsi's hard work caused the late former Chief Justice Godfrey Chidyausiku to mention him as one of the top performing and hardworking judges. He is said to have written 72 judgments in 2014.
In 2016 the Judiciary Service Commission (JSC) re-deployed Justice Mathonsi back to Bulawayo as part of a routine exercise aimed at strengthening its operations after he had been transferred to Harare for some time.
Justice Hungwe is currently based in Lesotho.
