Police arrest female drug smuggler

The Zimbabwe Republic Police in Nyamapanda have arrested a 35 year old woman for smuggling drugs into the country.
In a statement on Wednesday police said they arrested Maidei Nyamande (35) for smuggling two bales of second hand clothes and pharmaceutical drugs comprising 5x500mls stromox, 4x4 super appet, 500 x 50mg erythromycin, azithromycin 500g x 10, 20 x 120ml combicult, 10 x100ml injection water,
20 brimal satchet, 2 boxes of 10 x 10 comblimodus, 1000 tablets of cotrimoxazole, 6 boxes of diclofenac tablets, two 50 units of Depo provera, 250 capsules of doxycycline, 1 bottle of hydrochloride injection, 3 boxes of 600mg Attesan, 3 bottles of benzylpenicillin,1 box of diezpam, 10 x 100mls ampicilasodica among others.
They said the goods were smuggled from Mozambique.
Police have urged members of the public to comply with laid down custom and excise procedures in order to bring goods in the country legally.
The police recently engaged in an operation to raid all drug dens in the country. Earlier this month, police in Bulawayo raided one of the drug dens which is being operated by a United Kingdom based drug lord (name supplied).
