WATCH: Malema attacks war veterans

Economic Freedom Fighters leader Julius Malema says War veterans must stop ransoming Africa by saying they fought for it therefore they deserve special recognition.
In a fiery speech Malema said, "No more this nonsense of we fought for freedom. Yes you fought freedom we thanked you for the past 24 years. Now it's about the future not about who fought for freedom. It's about who will fight for the total emancipation of African children, it's about the future of black children; it's about the future of those children who go to school on an empty stomach."
In Zimbabwe war veterans have a special hold on the country and dictate how the politics of the country is run because of their participation in the war of liberation.
In 2017 the War veterans working with the Zimbabwe Defence Forces ousted President Robert Mugabe accusing him of dumping the Mgagao declaration.
