VILLAGERS in the Makhulela and Ndolwane area in Plumtree are living in fear of a pride of lions, which has so far killed over 10 cattle in the past week.
The lions were first noticed last weekend after they killed cattle in the grazing areas.
Bulilima Rural District Council (RDC) has sent a team of hunters to deal with the pride and they are being complemented by Zimparks rangers.
Bulilima RDC CEO John Brown Ncube yesterday said the lions were yet to be located.
Zimparks spokesperson Tinashe Farawo said their rangers were on the ground hunting down for the lions.
The lions are suspected to have strayed from Mabhongwane Game Park, which borders the villages.
