Teenager drugged and raped

A 15 year old girl from Harare was drugged and raped at a flat where she and her friends had visited after school.
The police have since called on parents to monitor their children and guide them against activities that would endanger them.
"Police are urging parents to monitor and supervise their school children's movements so that they focus on studies and not be lured by friends to divert routes while at school and engage in other escapades which include drug abuse where they are subsequently abused," said the police in a statement.
" This follows the rape of a 15 year old juvenile in Harare after she was lured by friends to a flat where they smoked dagga."
In a related incident, a 20 year old man was arrested while trying to rape a 60 year old woman.
"In another case, a 20 year old man was arrested in Bulawayo after he was caught attempting to rape a 60 year old woman whom he had chased.

"The incident occurred in a bushy area where the woman had gone to look for firewood. Members of the public, especially women are urged to avoid secluded places," said the police.
