Highlanders and FC Platinum shared the spoils in a Match-day 14 encounter played at Barbourfields Stadium in Bulawayo on Sunday.
Bosso set the pace in the opening moments of the game, launching a couple of raids, but it was the visitors who got the first real chance on goal just after the quarter hour when Albert Eonde picked the ball and struck an inch wide.
Highlanders continued to win the ball in the middle park but never made any threatening attempt.
FC Platinum, on the other end, got another opportunity on minute 38 and took the lead through Eonde who slotted home unmarked and in a 1-v-1 with the keeper.
Bosso responded with an attack three minutes later, but Prince Dube's curling shot from a range hit the crossbar.
Nonetheless, the home team went on to restore the parity before the break when goalkeeper Ariel Sibanda converted from the spot after Perfect Chikwende had fouled Divine Mhindirira inside the box.
The second period was rather a quiet affair with the play concentrated in the midfield.
However, a few chances were created along the way with Brian Banda missing the target by inches while Ray Lunga blew away a golden chance following a quick counter-attack.
The game ended in a stalemate as FC platinum remained on top of the table while Highlanders moved three points clear from the drop zone.
At National Sports Stadium, goals from John Zhuwawu (2′) and Joel Ngodzo (64′) saw CAPS United beating Yadah 2-0 while Chicken Inn failed to pass the Colliery test as they lost 2-1 to Hwange.
Mushowani Stars and Herentals played to a 1-1 draw and Triangle beat TelOne 2-1.
Results:
Highlanders 1-1 FC Platinum
Caps United 2-0 Yadah
Hwange 2-1 Chicken Inn
Triangle United 2-1 Telone
Mushowani Stars 1-1 Herentals
