The British Foreign and Commonwealth Office has granted Zimbabwe permission to establish an honorary consul in Scotland which will be a vital link for the country in promoting its growth plan in the United Kingdom.
Zimbabwe's Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Retired Colonel Christian Katsande confirmed this development on the sidelines of the inaugural roadshow meetings convened in London, United Kingdom.
"The source market is quite huge and we believe that the presence of honorary consuls in Scotland, Wales, Ireland and other cities will be of great service not only to the diaspora community but also to the investor community because they will then have access to a lot of interactive communication with those honourary consuls who can give them a lot of information and give them an idea of the specific investment opportunities out of those regions," he said.
Ambassador Katsande also said he hopes to conclude with the other nations such as Wales and Ireland by the end of this year.
This diplomatic score dovetails with the country's efforts to re engagement efforts.
