Glen View legislator Mr Paul Madzore (MDC-T) was yesterday ejected from the House of Assembly for unbecoming behaviour. He threw a newspaper at Zanu-PF legislator for Magunje Franco Ndambakuwa.

House of Assembly Speaker, Mr Lovemore Moyo immediately ejected him from the House.

"Honourable Member (Madzore) can you leave us and come back after this particular session," ruled Mr Moyo.

Mr Madzore claimed that he was retaliating because Ndambakuwa had thrown the paper at him first.

"Sorry, Mr Speaker, I was sending the paper back to him," he said before walking out.

Other legislators could be heard shouting that his conduct does not befit the status of a party provincial chairman. Mr Madzore is the MDC-T chairman for Harare Province.

A few years ago, MDC-T treasurer Mr Roy Bennett was jailed for 15 months for assaulting Justice and Legal Affairs Minister Patrick Chinamasa during debate in Parliament.

Later, Mwenezi East MP, Kudakwashe Bhasikiti slammed Mr Madzore, saying it was such provocative conduct that leads to political violence in the run up to elections. Bhasikiti was contributing to the motion moved by Masvingo Central MP, Mr Jeffryson Chitando (MDC-T) calling for peaceful post-election transition.
