'Tsvangirai is riding a hyena'

President Robert Mugabe's presidential affairs secretary retired Brigadier-General Usher Walter Tapfumaneyi has ridiculed Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai labelling him a "hypocrite" and "a running dog of the West riding a hyena".
Speaking at a field day at Parklands Farm in Norton last week, Tapfumaneyi said the inclusive government was untenable as Tsvangirai and Finance minister Tendai Biti were working in cahoots with "Western imperialists" to reverse the gains of the liberation struggle especially the land reform programme.
"We do not want this so-called inclusive government in which we share the same table with hypocrites like Tsvangirai, Britain's running dog riding on a hyena. Yes, he comes to the people riding on the back of a hyena," Tapfumaneyi said.
Despite admitting that he was a civil servant who should not dabble in politics, Tapfumaneyi chanted Zanu-PF slogans.
"I am not an elected party official, but a civil servant. I am a war veteran who served in the army since 1980 joining as a private and rose through the ranks until my retirement as Brigadier-General, but what I want to tell you is that don't listen to Tsvangirai. "Down with Tsvangirai," Tapfumaneyi chanted.
"The MDC, Tsvangirai and Biti refuse to give farmers loans because they want farms returned to former white owners. They are running dogs deliberately frustrating agricultural production to please their British handlers. Their agenda is to see the land reform fail."
Zanu-PF politburo secretary for labour and production Dzikamai Mavhaire, Mashonaland West governor Faber Chidarikire and Zvimba East MP Patrick Zhuwao also attended the event.
