Man bites nephew's eye

A 44-YEAR-OLD Chipinge man was fined $50 recently for biting his nephew on the eye. Pearson Mlambo (44) of Number 4022, Gaza E high- density was convicted on his plea of guilty when he appeared before Chipinge magistrate, Mr Clemence Ngweshiwa.
Mlambo was sentenced to 60 days imprisonment or pay $50.
"The complainant is my nephew your worship and at the time I bit him we were busy playing wrestling and he is the one who bit me on the hand first," said Mlambo.
Meanwhile, a senior teacher at a Chipinge school was fine $30 for assaulting his wife.
Gilbert Gapara (45) of Number 3242, ZBS in Gaza high-density suburb was convicted on his plea of guilty when he appeared before Mr Ngweshiwa.
He was asked to pay $30 fine or spend 30 days in prison.
It was heard that on June 5, Gapara assaulted Joyce Matongo with an open palm.
Mr Augustine Nhete prosecuted.
