Woman poisons her 2 kids after a heated family argument

A Murambinda woman, Pamela Masrindire (19), of Marindire Village under Headman Murandinda's area, poisoned her two children, Patience (1) and Panashe Marindire (3) following a heated argument with her auntie, Ratidzo Marindire (19) over the suspect's alleged abuse and neglect of her stepson, Tichasangana Marindire.
Pamela also took the poison and is battling for her life at Murambinda Mission Hospital. The incident occured on Sunday.
The Acting Manicaland police spokesperson, Assistant Inspector Enock Chishiri, said on 24 June, at around 12pm, a misunderstanding arose between Pamela and her aunt Ratidzo, with the latter accusing her of ill-treating her stepson, Tichasangana. This did not go down well with Pamela who then took a bottle containing a poisonous substance from her bedroom and went to a nearby Machiva River, where she made her children drink the poison,"
Ass Insp Chishiri said after confirming that Patience and Panashe were dead, the woman then took the same substance herself. She returned home the following day in an unstable and staggering condition and revealed to her husband, Tanganisai Marindire that she had killed their children and had also consumed the same poisonous substance.
Pamela then collapsed and lost consciousness before her husband, with the aid of other villagers, went to the river to recover the minors lifeless bodies. She was rushed to Murambinda Mission Hospital where she is in a stable condition under police guard.
