TWO tenants at a Harare house appeared in court yesterday with one accusing the other of sending her toddler to relieve on his doorsteps on a daily basis.

Tracy Venge brought fellow tenant Takesure Moyo to the court seeking a peace order.

Moyo told magistrate Mr Milton Serima that he was the one supposed to make the court application, but when Venge heard of his plans, she rushed to the court.

"My neighbour hates me so much that she sends her two-year-old-daughter to defecate on my doorstep every day," he said.

"As if that is not enough, she once grabbed my legs and pulled down my trousers. She stripped me of my trousers and rushed to the police alleging that I wanted to rape her.

"Her husband ganged with three other people to beat me up and I was seriously injured.

Venge and Moyo are both married.

Moyo told the court that Venge and four other women from the same community hate him to such to the extent that he is now planning to move his family elsewhere.

"I had been staying at this house for the past 10 years and Venge no longer wants me at this house, but we are both tenants," he said.

Venge in response said Moyo was in the habit of removing his clothes and run to the police station every time he has an altercation with a woman.

"I did not strip him naked as he alleges, he removed his own pair of trousers and started claiming it was me who did it," she said.

"This man is a nuisance and since 2007 he has been beating me and my children.

"He spits saliva on my child who is one-year-old. I have seen that this man cannot live amicably with women."

Mr Serima granted a reciprocal protection order and advised the two to stay amicably.
