Opening of Zimbabwean parliament postponed

THE official opening of the Fifth Session of the Seventh Parliament of Zimbabwe has been indefinitely postponed.
President Mugabe was expected to officially open the session tomorrow. Clerk of Parliament Mr Austin Zvoma announced the postponement on Thursday last week.
"The Clerk of Parliament Mr Austin Zvoma would like to inform all invited guests and stakeholders that the official opening of the Fifth Session of the Seventh Parliament of Zimbabwe by His Excellency the President of the Republic of Zimbabwe Cde Robert Gabriel Mugabe scheduled for Tuesday 24th July has been postponed," read a statement from Parliament.
"An announcement of the new date will be communicated in due course."
