In a bid to brainwash the youngsters Zimbabwe's veterans of the armed struggle are set to be dispatched to teach history in primary and secondary schools.

The programme is set to kick off this coming Monday (7 Mar 2011),  a senior education officer in Chikomba District in Mashonaland East province, Ngoni Simon Mujuru confirmed.

"We had a meeting and we spoke about that. We suggest they come in as resource persons to talk on pertinent issues that are not in the syllabus and logistics about what used to happen in the liberation struggle," he said.

"It was just an interesting area we noted. It is just like bringing in a nurse to speak on health matters. It is also important to bring war veterans to talk about their experiences," he said.

The Minister for Education, Art, Sport and Culture, David Coltart has not yet confirmed if this programme is going national wide.
