Woman killed by elephants

A woman was on Friday evening trampled to death by a herd of elephants in Mupedzapasi Village in Mbire District.
Council rangers from Mbire Rural District Council were forced to shoot one of the jumbos as villagers ran for dear life amid great commotion.
Mbire Rural District Council Chairman, Councillor Dhoro Koni confirmed that the woman, Ms Faradha Madhuwe was tending to her fields of bananas when she was attacked.
She died on the spot.
