Rebuilding Party of Zimbabwe speaks on constitution

The Rebuilding Party of Zimbabwe (RPZ) says there is need for the country's constitution to underscore the significance of the liberation struggle and give expression to the people's views and aspirations
RPZ President, Reverend Everisto Chikanga told ZBC News that his party realises the importance of Zimbabweans working together for the good of the nation and a new constitution should reflect the people's views and the struggle that brought about the country's independence.
The sentiments come at a time when the draft constitution has just been handed over to parliament and is being debated by parties in the inclusive government.
After three years, COPAC has finally produced a draft constitution which is expected to go for a referendum when finalised, leading to elections.
