Mugabe meets visiting Malawian Minister of Agriculture and Food Security

President Robert Mugabe has emphasized the need to intensify cooperation between Malawi and Zimbabwe in the area of agriculture. President Mugabe said this during a meeting with the visiting Malawian Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Dr Peter Mwanza at Munhumutapa Offices in Harare this Tuesday.
Dr Mwanza touched on various issues during the meeting, including agriculture.
The two sides identified areas of cooperation that include stock breeding, agriculture mechanisation and seed production among other things.
Dr Mwanza commended Zimbabwe's land reform programme as it empowers indigenous people.
Dr Made, who also attended the meeting, highlighted the need for cooperation in education and training of agricultural students from both countries.
Later on, the President met South Sudan's Minister of Information and Broadcasting, Dr Barnaba Benjamin.
South Sudan and her northern neighbour have been locked up in a bitter dispute since South Sudan got its independence in July last year.
The two are feuding over border demarcations, some territories such as Abiyei and over distribution of oil revenue.
