MDC-T MP on the run after skipping bail

Gokwe-Kabuyuni MP, Costin Muguti (MDC-T ) was declared a fugitive from justice after he skipped bail and failed to appear in court on Thursday to face a violence charge.
Muguti, who was arrested by military police last month together with 10 other MDC-T activists and charged with political violence, was expected to appear at the Kadoma Magistrates' Court for trial.
When Muguti failed to turn up at the stipulated time, magistrate Ross Chavi immediately issued a warrant of arrest for the MP.
The trial of the other 10 activists charged together with the MP failed to take off after their lawyers, Tapera Sengweni and Trust Maanda, failed to appear in court due to other commitments.
The 10 were further remanded to March 14.
