The Harare Agricultural Show kicked off yesterday (Friday) with the Zimbabwe Agricultural Society (ZAS) saying this year's edition will have more foreign exhibitors as compared to the previous years.
The foreign exhibitors are expected to showcase their equipment in sectors such as agriculture.
Organisers of the agriculture show say over 800 exhibitors have already registered to take part in the premier agriculture show as more foreign exhibitors from countries such as China, Mauritius and Italy are taking part.
"This year we have more foreign countries taking part which is a positive development as we have more exhibitors compared to the previous years and it's a good stage for farmers as they will be agriculture equipment from these countries," said a ZAS official.
The show, which will run until 25th of this month, has attracted both local and foreign companies with organisers making security changes through the introduction of Close Circuit Television (CCTV) following the disappearance if a child last year.
