Top Zimbabwe swimmer and Olympian, Kirsty Coventry's fiancé Tyrone Seward has said he is working on paying lobola to her father.

Kirsty who turns 29 on September 16, 2012 also disclosed that she does not have any immediate plans to have children.

Tyrone Seward has revealed that Kirsty's father has asked him when he intends to do the honourable thing which is to pay the precious bride price.

Seward, the Chinhoyi born and bred hopeful who has been Kirsty Coventry's manager for the last two years, said he is at present still 'looking into it'.

Kirsty said that there will be no wedding without lobola.

"Right now we are celebrating our engagement but we have not yet decided about the wedding.

Tyrone is currently working on his lobola for my father. He knows that there would be no wedding before paying lobola," Coventry was quoted as saying by the Zimbabwe Standard.

Miss Coventry was placed 6th in the just ended Olympic Games. She had not been in top form after she battled a knee injury as well as pneumonia just prior to the games. Kirsty has however been elected by fellow athletes to the International Olympic Committee Athletes' Commission at the London 2012 Olympic Games.

Coventry is still passionate about sport in Zimbabwe. She told the Standard "I still have a very big role to play in Zimbabwean sport, especially in swimming. I want to be heavily involved but I am not yet too sure about the exact role I will be playing… We have some extremely talented athletes here in Zimbabwe but we cannot just expect them to go and win medals in major competitions. That is why I want to be involved in supporting athletes."
