POLICE in Bulawayo have arrested two men for breaking into several cars and stealing property worth over US$3 000.

Police spokesperson Inspector Abednico Ncube confirmed the arrest of Winter Chisale (45), who resides in Entumbane, and Reason Nyoni (36) of Magwegwe North.

"The value of stolen goods from the lowest is US$1 200 from the first case. The second stolen property is valued at US$2 000 and the total value of the third stolen property is $440 206," said Ncube.

He said the two stole from a parked Isuzu car along George Silundika Street after the complainant left a bag containing an HP laptop and an iPad while going into the market.

Ncube said Nyoni was first spotted by police officers on patrol in the area who managed to apprehend him.

The two also stole various items from another car parked in the central business district.
