VILLAGERS at Filabusi in Insiza district of Matabeleland South have expressed fears over a leopard and its puppies terrorising their area.
Village head in Ndwangu area Godfrey Makhulumo Ndlovu said no action had been taken so far by authorities.
"Now there is a leopard in the area and we have seen its footprints. It appears they might be two and have puppies too," Ndlovu said.
"We are in serious danger. So far, as a village head I have received reports that about six calves have been killed by the wild cat."
Insiza Rural District Council CEO Fedris Manhombe on Wednesday said he had not yet received the report from the area, indicating that he would try to find out from the local ward one councillor Festor Ndlovu.
