DYNAMOS are pursuing striker Tinashe Makanda following the expiry of his contract at Highlanders.

H-Metro heard DeMbare coach Tonderai Ndiraya has tasked the executive to land the marksman's signature who is also being pursued by other local teams.

Highlanders, according to the source, are also persuading him to renew his contract.

"Coach Ndiraya is interested in the player. He wants to strengthen his strike force and has been clear to the executive that they have to do everything to land him.

"Makanda's contract at Highlanders expired and it seems he wants to move. The player is also interested with a move to Dynamos and he also wants to work with Ndiraya," revealed the source.

The source said negotiations between the player and DeMbare are ongoing and is expected to sign anytime.

ZPC Kariba has also shown interest in the player while a possible move to South Africa has flopped, for now.

"He was also wanted in South Africa but the deal has been put on hold for now. This means he has to find a club locally.

"ZPC Kariba are interested but a Dynamos move is most likely and at an advanced stage," added the source.

Makanda has been key member at Bosso's strike force and was headed for a competition following the arrival of Mkhokheli Dube and Michelle Katsvairo.
