'I actually design my own clothes' says Grace Mugabe

First Lady Grace Mugabe has urged women who run small-to-medium scale businesses to pro­duce high-quality products that can compete on the international market. She also said "when I see quality, I compli­ment. I actually design my own clothes; I design every­thing you see me wearing".
In an interview at the Harare Agricultural Show where she toured various stands on Friday, Mugabe said businesswomen should "dream big".
"Some women might feel intimidated or discour√É‚Äö√Ǭ≠aged by my words, but my wish is to motivate them to such a level that will see them compete on the interna√É‚Äö√Ǭ≠tional market," she said. "I am a designer myself. When I see quality, I compli√É‚Äö√Ǭ≠ment. I actually design my own clothes; I design every√É‚Äö√Ǭ≠thing you see me wearing.
"Quality products market themselves. Even at our Alpha Omega Dairy Company, we make sure we meet the standards expected at a place where food is manu√É‚Äö√Ǭ≠factured. Hygiene there is excellent. "Recently, I had the opportunity to visit the Zam√É‚Äö√Ǭ≠bian Agricultural Show and I saw what they had to offer. It is clear our products have to be of a high qual√É‚Äö√Ǭ≠ity if they are to compete on the international market.
"However, I must say that there has been a marked improvement in terms of the quality of products that are being exhibited at the Harare Agricultural Show. It has improved a lot from what we saw last year." The First Lady commended women for the role they play in small grain produc√É‚Äö√Ǭ≠tion.
"I am happy women are producing small grains which can survive with little rain.  I have also noted that they are producing a wide variety of vegetables which contain very important nutrients. "I am so much interested in agriculture because I am also a farmer. I grow an array of vegetables and have a big greenhouse at my house.
"We also have a dairy farm, which produces the milk that we are now adding value to."
