There was an alleged break-in at Mvurwi hospital where an Administrator's laptop and scan equipment was stolen last week, Bulawayo24.com has learnt.
Sources familiar with the incident allege the equipment contained financial records of the hospital and scan equipment.
"The hospital lost financial documents and scan equipment to thieves who broke into the administrator's office." said the source.
"Foul play is suspected because there was a looming audit at the hospital and the records have gone missing."
"The scan used to serve much of the Provincial places since we had only two hospitals Bindura and Mvurwi which had such equipment."
Mvurwi administrator Florence Makombe who once made headline for allegedly stealing ARVs at the hospital could neither confirm or deny.
"I am not in a position to comment you can contact the Provincial Medical Doctor for comment," Makombe said.
Efforts to contact Mash Central PMD were fruitless.
Police are still investigating the matter.
