Maid gives birth, throws baby down the toilet

A 22-YEAR-OLD Mazowe house maid was arraigned before Concession magistrate Nyasha Machiriori yesterday for concealing birth of a child.
Nyasha Taki pleaded not guilty to the charge and was remanded out of custody to October 27.
The state led by Munyaradzi Nengomasha alleged on September 9 Taki's employer observed that her maid was pregnant through her big belly and confronted her but she denied the allegations.
On September 15 the employer discovered that her belly had deflated and became suspicious of the alleged crime.
She went and checked in the Blair toilet pit and discovered the body of a deceased baby.
