Go between bashed by 4 assailants at Nyau dance

There was drama at Vonabo farm, Glendale where a suspected go between of a married man was bashed by four assailants at a nyau traditional dance ceremony at the farm.
The matter came to light at Concession magistrates courts yesterday where Tobias Chimutsaro, Richmore Chimutsaro, Maxwell Chimutsaro and Josphine Zimunya pleaded guilty to assault charge before magistrate Nixon Mangoti.
The court heard that on October 17 the complainant Bruce Marata was at Vonabo farm watching Nyau dance when the quartet approached him accusing him of facilitating boyfriends for Tobias's wife.
The charged four took turns to assault Marata with open hands.
He subsequently fled for his dear life and filed a police report.
The quartet were lucky to escape jail after the magistrate cautioned and discharged them after considering the degree of attack and that of the provocation in the case.
