Goods worth thousands of dollars were destroyed after three shops caught fire in Mvurwi, early today.
The fire is said to have been caused by an electrical fault.
One of the shop owners who declined to be named told Bulawayo24.com that the fire started around 4 am. In one of the shops they managed to save the refrigerator and a few other items.
"This fire started around 4 am but when we arrived every shop owner was trying to save his goods so l managed to save a refrigerator and a few items. The fire started due to an electrical fault," said the source.
