Ten-roomed house burnt to ashes

Harare - A Westwood family is now homeless after their 10-roomed house was burnt to ashes by fire last week.
Family members who related the incident said they suspect the fire which burnt down House Number 111 Harare's Westwood suburb was caused by a candle left unattended in one bedroom.
The owner of the house, Ambuya Netty Mano, a widow said all of the 15 residents escaped unhurt although no property was salvaged from the inferno.
Meanwhile, Ambuya Mano has appealed to well-wishers for assistance in the form of food, clothing and materials to rebuild the house.
The house was not insured.
