Welshman Ncube in limbo
04 Sep 2012 at 07:51hrs | Views
The three principals in the Zimbabwe inclusive government failed to hold their routine Monday meeting yesterday as Morgan Tsvangirai is in the United States of America to attend Barack Obama's Democratic Party's convention this week.
President Robert Mugabe's spokesperson George Charamba has confirmed the development, accusing Tsvangirai of prioritizing a personal invitation to America at the expense of more pressing issues at home.
Charamba also shot down at the Sadc proposal that Ncube be called to the meetings as one of the principals ahead of Arthur Mutambara.
The meeting was expected to unlock the logjam surrounding the draft constitution and to implement a recent Sadc directive to draft in MDC leader Welshman Ncube as a principal whenever deliberations were centred on constitutional matters.
