The house ownership wrangle between popular revolutionary musician Dickson 'Cde Chinx' Chingaira and his step son, Brian Bizayi has turned nasty.

The popular songsmith allegedly ran berserk and armed himself with an axe and besieged the house in dispute on Saturday. However, he denies the allegations. The matter is in the hands of the police (under reference number RRB1563313).

Cde Chinx is alleged to have used the axe to break open the doors in order to accommodate a new tenant of his choice. This act, his step son alleges, was in complete negation of the law of the land since the house is still contested in the courts making the whole scenario sub judice. Cde Chinx's actions are said to have sent tenants scurrying for cover as they feared the axe wielding comrade.

Cde Chinx INSISTED that the house rightfully belonged to him and he had the leverage to act as he wishes.

"Ndinopenga here ini, handiti imba yangu. Imi vakomana ve hmetro chingonyorai zvamapihwa handiti," FUMED Cde Chinx after being asked to shed more light on the axe wielding incident.

The property in dispute, which is at House No. 1722, reportedly belonged to the late wife Catherine Mazuru, the mother of his step-son Brian Bizayi (31). Bizayi was absent when Cde Chinx besieged the house.

"I was at a wedding when I got a call from my wife telling me that Cde Chinx had come with his son armed with an axe, forcing open the door to make way for a new tenant. I was scared and abandoned everything and rushed home only to see the door padlock removed and the axe was near the door. I do not even know what will happen to me and my family next, we are living in fear," he said.

Cde Chinx's daughter Tinatenzi Chingaira interjected and started shouting at Bizayi and threatened our news crew with arrest.

"Uchapabva pano, pamba pa baba vedu, shanda uitewo imba yako. Tinoziva na rights edu ndokusungisai," she shouted.

Bizayi said he was the bonafide executor of the estate when they went to court which he suspects did not go down well with Cde Chinx.

"We went to court on 21 August where we were asked to explain what was going on regarding the house. It was confirmed that I was the executor and I was advised to put legal notice in the press and all this needs money but he continues to collect the rentals, making the process impossible," he said.

It appears the stand-off between Cde Chinx and his step-son is a time bomb waiting to explode considering the violence that has already begun.
